ReSTOR / ReZOOM

ReSTOR IOL

ReSTOR IOL lens affords cataract patients restoration of vision at all focal lengths from near through distance.

Dr. Benjamin is a leader in implantation of the ReSTOR IOL and was the first cataract surgeon in Los Angeles to implant the ReSTOR lens in private practice. Dr. Benjamin has helped thousands of cataract patients obtain excellent vision and rid themselves of reading glasses with multi-focal intraocular lens implants.

At the Benjamin Eye Institute, 98% of patients who had the ReSTOR lens implanted never used glasses again for any activity (compared with 80% in the FDA trials). This improvement is due to improved astigmatism management, usually through Limbal Relaxing Incisions (LRI). At the BEI, 97% (96% in FDA studies) of patients would have this procedure again if given the choice.

Advantage:
   •   Excellent near and distance vision.

Disadvantages:

   •   Chance of haloes and glare, which go away in time.
   •   Fair intermediate vision.

ReZOOM IOL

Today, with its many optical design enhancements, the ReZOOM Multifocal IOL is providing patients with a full range of vision and greater independence from glasses or contact lenses than ever before. Clinical studies show that 92% of those receiving the ReZOOM Lens technology "never", or "only occasionally," need to wear glasses.

The ReZOOM Multifocal Lens features Balanced View Optics Technology - uniquely proportioned visual zones that provide it with a major advantage. Each ReZOOM Multifocal Lens is divided into 5 different zones with each zone designed for different light and focal distances.

The ReZoom Multifocal Lens is designed to provide:

   •   Sharp distance vision (driving, golfing, walking).
   •   Critical intermediate vision (computer use, cooking).
   •   Crisp near vision (reading).

Advantage:

   •   Excellent distance and intermediate vision.

Disadvantages:

   •   Chance of haloes and glare, which go away in time.
   •   Fair near vision.
